Rice fields surrounded terrace, times of the day, and seasons of the year, these are the core concepts behind this cabin house’s design. Different times of the day create a dynamic usage flow throughout each area of the house.
The open floor plan allows the resident to fully experience seasonal changes of the surrounding rice fields, connecting the outside and inside together.
The smooth transition between outdoor and indoor area of this house is achieved by utilizing the covered terrace.
During rainy season, the covered terrace structure, which covers most of the cabin house’s usable area, can collect rain water to a nearby pond for agricultural usage later on.
Terrace, time, and season hence become key components of the cabin house that seamlessly bind the resident’s lifestyle and outdoor nature together
